This church was located at 75 Gipps Street, Fortitude Valley in Brisbane

The Jireh Baptist Church was established in 1861, as a breakaway from the Wharf Street Baptist Church. It was the third Baptist Church formed in Queensland, and one of a very few established for specific doctrinal reasons. The church ceased operations in 1978. The building was destroyed by fire on 6/2/1987.
