Her father was listed as a butcher at the time of birth.
 Esther was baptised on Sunday, 8 August 1841, by William West SIMPSON at St. Johns church of England, Parramatta.
 When she married Daniel in Brisbane in a civil ceremony, her father was listed as a farmer and her mother, who was a witness at the ceremony, was only able to make her mark.

The photograph of Esther was kindly given to me by Eva ROWBOTHAM.

The author, Greg DAVIS, Esther's great grandson, visited the grave in Bundaberg, 112 years, 9 months and 16 days after her death
